How this estimate works
Rates remain fixed. Interest is calculated monthly at the annual rate divided by 12 and rounded to the nearest cent. Payments occur at month-end, with no new borrowing, missed payments or extra repayments. A final payment may differ slightly.
Current debts keep the fixed payments you enter. Payments are not redirected when a debt is cleared. The current monthly total therefore falls over time. Current debts taking more than 600 months to repay are not assigned a total cost.
Fees entered are counted once. Financed fees also accrue interest; upfront fees are included in the total outlay. Insurance premiums and other costs are excluded unless you enter them as fees. Daily interest, variable or promotional rates and lender-specific rounding may produce different results.
This is an educational estimate, not a loan offer, approval or recommendation. Centerpointe Financials provides planning guidance, not lending or insolvency services. Read the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s consolidation guidance or explore debt consolidation planning.
